Federal Government Stands Down on Campgrounds

Federal Government Stands Down By Tim Ravndal Canyon Ferry Lake was created by the dam located on the Missouri River between Helena and Townsend Montana.  The reservoir created is a nationally recognized recreation destination in Montana since the mid 1950’s. The establishment and management of several official campgrounds around the reservoir were created and managed by Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) officials.  The campgrounds were named referencing geographic and historic activities that are a specific part of Montana’s history. From behind the curtain BOR began a process of changing the names of popular campgrounds around the lake.  The action raised the […]

Small Town Idaho Gives Big Time Patriotism

Small Town Idaho Gives Big Time Patriotism by Shari Dovale Independence Day has always been important to the patriotic citizens of small town Bonners Ferry in the northern-most county of Idaho. When the City Council decided that the celebrations were to be cancelled for July 4th, due to the Covid-19(84) regulations put down by Gov. Brad Little, the citizens responded. The only known case of Coronavirus attributed to the entire county was the case of a 20 year old female that was traveling in other parts of the country, not even within the state of Idaho. However, since she had […]

We Need More Honesty

We Need More Honesty  by Jeremy Conlin Dr Scott Atlas, a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, penned “Lies, Damn Lies and COVID-19 Statistics” for PJ Media, July 3, 2020. Explaining that “case” merely means a positive test and that one-half of cases are asymptomatic (Does not exhibit symptoms) which means that a new case does not mean an illness, the doctor questions most of the shallow reporting about COVID-19. Instead, he suggests, we should “… focus on who is getting infected and the death rate.” Twenty five percent of patients who have come into a hospital for some other […]

Write-in Candidate Challenges Career Politician

Write-in Candidate Challenges Career Politician   SANDPOINT – Dan Rose announced today the launch of his “[x] Write-in DAN ROSE” candidacy for the Republican position of State Representative, Legislative District 1B, currently held by Sage Dixon. Dan Rose feels strongly that “regulation without representation” is an existential threat to liberty. It is the reason for his candidacy, and it is two-fold: The Governor refused to reconvene the 2020 legislative session before or after decreeing a unilateral statewide shutdown; and District 1B’s representative violated our trust by failing to show up in Boise to speak for his constituents when the legislature […]

November Civil War

November Civil War by Pete Ketcham The riots and violence we are presently seeing indicates a possibility that increased violence could proceed from the results of the coming November presidential election. In all probability, regardless of who wins this coming presidential election, the losing side will not accept the results, and will accuse the winner of voter fraud. By past actions it is almost a forgone conclusion that Democrats will fraudulently use ballot harvesting, votes of illegal aliens, and mail in votes to increase their chances of winning. If they lose they will accuse the Republicans of the very thing […]

Out with the Old Government, In with the New

Out with the Old Government, In with the New by Roger Whitten Our Declaration of Independence expresses the truths that all Americans believe in: the individual is endowed by the Creator with inalienable rights; the purpose of government is to secure these rights; that whenever government becomes destructive of individual rights, it is the right, it is the duty, of the people to throw off such government. The year 2020 has seen government criminalize the exercise of individual rights. Under the pretext of protecting us from a virus, the government has stolen our rights and exercised emergency powers in a […]

#DefyTyranny – Celebrate Your Personal Liberty

#DefyTyranny – Celebrate Your Personal Liberty by Shari Dovale July 4th is the traditional day of celebration for our country’s independence. All that has changed throughout the country as parades and fireworks are cancelled by state governors and others in authority. Demanding that people adhere to their strict edicts, not to be near each other, and not go out in public without their mandatory face veil, leaves the citizens with no reason to celebrate. This appears to have been BY DESIGN. The Democratic Left has demanded that personal Freedom and Liberty are removed from the citizens. No more will we […]

Idaho Cities Requiring Masks in Public

Idaho Cities Requiring Masks in Public by Shari Dovale Idaho took another sharp turn to the Left this week when five of it’s cities passed mandates requiring masks to be worn in public. Hailey and Moscow started the trend on Tuesday when they demanded their citizens shroud their faces in public or face criminal penalties. Moscow included the possibility of up to six months incarceration and as much as $1,000 fines, while Hailey made it an infraction with a $100 fine. Boise Mayor Lauren McLean jumped on the Marxist bandwagon and said she will sign a public health order, which […]

Man Jailed For Contracting Covid 19(84)

Man Jailed For Contracting Covid 19(84) by Shari Dovale The insanity in the State of Washington continues as King-Governor Jay Inslee cracks down on dissidents that refuse to bow down and obey him. Earlier this week, Inslee commanded businesses not to serve customers that are not wearing their slavery veils. Now he is allowing citizens to be incarcerated for not groveling before him. A man in Spokane has been forcibly transferred to the County jail for not voluntarily following the edicts of King Inslee. He is expected to remain in custody through July 11th, at least. The details are sketchy, […]

The Idaho Freedom Index- Scorecard For Conservative Principles

The Idaho Freedom Index- Scorecard For Conservative Principles Editorial by Bryan Smith I have recently written two articles discussing the first eight of the twelve principles the Idaho Freedom Foundation Index (IFFI) uses to score bills that legislators vote on. The IFF Index principles are also found in the Idaho Republican Party Platform (IRPP), the gold standard for Republican beliefs. So, when a legislator gets a bad IFFI grade, he often is not following the IRPP. This article looks at the last four IFFI principles and compares them to the IRPP. The ninth IFFI principle asks, “Does it violate the […]

Rebuttal Letter to Frank Vandersloot

Dear Frank, Throughout history there have always been people that claim to be something they are not. Some do it and knew it, and others have no idea and your letter is no exception to my statement. What should be stated early is that I do not altogether disagree with you and neither do each of the movements in question. The Devil is in the details and I hope I can explain. It is true what you call and what is commonly known as conservative principles have always outperformed liberal solutions and this is exactly why most of us support […]

Mayor Sees Nothing Wrong With BLM

Mayor Sees Nothing Wrong With BLM It’s time the curtain is lifted on what Black Lives Matter is about, specifically for the group of naïve young people who felt compelled to hold a rally in solidarity with this organization. It seems that they, the Sandpoint mayor, and the lot of Sandpoint Indivisibles see no evil and hear no evil when it comes to this organization. Rooted in hate and violence, BLM’s past slogans of “What do we want – dead cops!” and “Pigs in a blanket, roast like bacon” now appear mild compared with the destruction, murder and mayhem perpetrated […]

Northwest Patriot Leadership Rendezvous

Northwest Patriot Leadership Rendezvous Chris Brumbles of the Oregon Firearms Federation brought dozens of leaders together this weekend to disuss the current political climate hitting the TriState area. Topics discussed included the current pandemic, CHAZ, and the Democrat leadership running the worst hit states. Several of Oregon’s political candidates for this coming November election made appearances to discuss their vision of what they would like to see in the area. Speakers from Washington and Idaho were included, though some had to call in to the event, as they couldn’t make the trip. This event is held annually, though locations are […]

Protests & Riots Are Logical Outcome Of Public Education

Protests & Riots Are Logical Outcome Of Public Education  by Pete Ketcham A time worn and oft repeated quote attributed to Albert Einstein is “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over Again, and Expecting Different Results”, yet concerning the following issue the quote is applicable. Many wonder why the young protesters gather with such anger against our nation and law enforcement. We wonder where and how they acquired such a venomous attitude that leads to shouting, screaming, and anger that manifests into the violence of looting burning, and physical assault against the police. The answer is simple, for the last […]

State-Sponsored Fearmongering

State-Sponsored Fearmongering When Governor Little took a wrecking ball to our economy last March by unilaterally and unconstitutionally decreeing unprecedented restrictions on our way of life, it was a red flag for Idaho’s independent-minded people. State-sponsored fearmongering had descended on us in the name of “safety”. The first indicator was the day-by-day non-stop reporting of cases, hospitalizations, and the few deaths that had occurred, which differed sharply from how flu epidemics and pandemics had been reported on in the past. After all, within everyone’s recent memory there have been a number of them, with and without vaccines, but never a […]

We Need a Mayor, Not an Activist

We Need a Mayor, Not an Activist Mayor Rognstad began his campaign of division on the first day of his first term as mayor, with his proclamation referring to those who did not share his opinions as bringing to mind “thoughts of Nazi Germany, Japanese internment camps, McCarthyism and the Ku Klux Klan.”  The violence of BLM and Antifa are of great concern and yet the mayor aligns himself and publicly supports these groups while referring to peace keeping citizens as “vigilantes”. He was tone deaf to the many comments expressed not in alignment with his agenda at the June […]

Commissioner Sends a Little Message to the Governor

Commissioner Sends a Little Message to the Governor by Shari Dovale Bonner County Commissioner Steve Bradshaw wrote an open letter to Governor Brad Little today calling him out for his orders on the “less than catastrophic pandemic,” suggesting that these Executive Orders were “orchestrated from someone or somewhere else.” Governor Little held a press conference today in which he made clear that he has extended the Stage 4 lockdown of the entire state for an additional 2 weeks. This would take us past the July 4th holiday, traditionally filled with celebrations of Freedom and Independence. Little did not remove any […]

Inslee just had a press conference on mandatory masks and walked out and thanked everyone for showing up in their masks, while he himself had no mask and he said he didn’t have his on because of the First Amendment!!!!  Amazing!  Now he’s citing his own Constitutional rights and therefore just showed why none of us have to wear them either, and I will never put a mask on.  This is their buildup to […]

A Little Rebellion in the Idaho State House

A Little Rebellion in the Idaho State House by Shari Dovale Members of the Idaho House made history this week when they gathered in Boise and attempted to convene themselves into session to discuss what most citizens feel are unconstitutional and illegal orders given by Governor Brad Little. They needed 36 members to convene a quorum and gathered not-quite-half that many. Instead of passing a concurrent resolution putting an end to Governor Little’s Covid 19(84) orders, they passed a proclamation, read by Rep. Vito Barbieri. Democrats Proxy Voting Scheme

Democrats Proxy Voting Scheme Guest Editorial by Rep. Russ Fulcher As the dust was still settling on September 12, 2001, and the horror of the day prior’s events were still being discovered, the 107th Congress did not stay home. The 65th Congress did not stay home during the Spanish Flu, nor did the 81st during the worst of the Polio outbreak. The 37th Congress met while our country was engaged in Civil War. The 65th and 77th Congress carried on after the United States entered WWI and WWII, respectively. In May, 2020, Speaker Pelosi forced through Congress a proxy voting […]
