30 x 30 – Third of Land and Oceans by 2030

30 x 30 – Third of Land and Oceans by 2030 by Karen Schumacher The Colorado Wilderness Act of 2021, H.R. 803, also known as Protecting America’s Wilderness and Public Lands Act, was just passed by the House in Congress and referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources by the Senate. This bill includes eight previous individual measures for public land and water protections in Arizona, Colorado, California, and Washington, a total of 1.49 million acres of public land and more than 1,000 river miles.  1.2 million acres of public land would also be withdrawn from new oil […]

Why Readers Don’t Trust the Liberal Media

Why Readers Don’t Trust the Liberal Media Which Road Is Taken? by Jeremy Conlin Has the Hagadon Corporation, the Daily Bee’s parent company, gone the direction of the Washington Post and the New York Times? A few years ago, the Bee ran an article on a woman touting ABC, NBC, WPO, etc at the top of her reliable news source ratings. Unfortunately for her, shortly after the Covington Catholic High School incident occurred and then Savannah Guthrie attempted to guilt-trip Nicholas Sandmann. Subsequently, we learned that the early press releases were grossly incorrect and that out-of-court settlements were awarded to […]

5G: Citizens Of Idaho Just Say NO!

5G: Citizens Of Idaho Just Say NO! by Karen Schumacher As technology continues to advance society forward with better smart phones, smart appliances, and cars that can drive themselves, satellite broadband internet is one of those technologies raising more questions.  This is the case in Bonner County where citizens have raised objections to the placement of what is called “satellite broadband” that is designed to provide faster internet speed. One individual investing in this newer technology is Elon Musk who has been launching “Starlink” internet satellites into space through his SpaceX program.  In order for these satellites to work efficiently, […]

Preparing For The Hand Wringing

Preparing For The Hand Wringing As summer in the southern hemisphere is nearing an end, we in the northern hemisphere can expect the traditional onslaught of claims that the ice in Antarctica is decreasing at an alarming rate and coastal cities are endangered by an existential threat. A February 2 article in CFACT, citing an article in “Nature” by scientists at Columbia University and the University of Victoria, British Columbia, who stated “The Antarctic continent has not warmed in the last seven decades…” and “Antarctic sea ice area has modestly expanded.” Of note is the phrase “The Antarctic continent”. Prosecuted For Sharing Stickers in Soviet Moscow, Idaho

Prosecuted For Sharing Stickers in Soviet Moscow, Idaho by Shari Dovale We previously told you about the Marxist leaders in Moscow, Idaho, which harassed a group of Christians for psalm-singing in public. Christians Standing Strong in Moscow Idaho Moscow’s liberal-controlled city council gave extended emergency powers to the Democrat Mayor in response to Covid 19(84). They imposed a mask mandate that has been repeatedly extended, with additional rules seemingly designed to simply harass the citizens. For example, the city has threatened to arrest a young student for standing too close to his cousin, published the police department’s non-emergency number as […]

House Committee Reissues Subpoena for Trump’s Financial Records

The House Oversight and Reform Committee reissued its subpoena seeking to gain access to President Donald Trump’s financial records, according to a court filing. The subpoena renews a request to Trump’s accounting firm Mazars USA to hand over eight years of financial records involving the former president and his business as part of a probe into allegations about the president’s financial statements. Trump went to the federal court to challenge the original subpoena to block its enforcement shortly after it was issued in April 2019. That subpoena expired in January when new lawmakers took office. Attorneys for each party in […]

Trump Encouragement, Plus Our Action Items

Trump Encouragement, Plus Our Action Items One of the most significant demographic shifts in the United States today is the movement of people with fundamental American and Judeo-Christian value systems moving into the inland Pacific Northwest. Particularly, this retreat to higher ground encompasses Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Eastern Washington. It’s hardly visible, as a strong current under the surface. But it’s there. That, my friends, is the American Redoubt. A stronghold. A safe haven. A refuge. -JJS Listen to more episodes at: Radio Free Redoubt The views, opinions, or positions expressed by the authors and those providing comments […]

Is There a Path to Victory?

Is There a Path to Victory? by Pete Ketcham The political spectrum, stretching from the local school board to the presidency of the United States, is a complex system of laws, policies, and agencies. The local citizen in many cases realizes that there is considerable corruption embedded in this political system, but feel there is little they can do to impact it. Years past the Tea Party movement provided a local conservative public forum for these people, who in some cases were motivated to run for office, testify at senate/house hearings, write & publish articles, campaign for conservative Republican candidates, […]

Welcome to 1984, again

A New York Times story (accessible for subscribers only) on the cover of the Sun insert in the morning paper quoted a book writer as saying that “Trump sought to ‘remake reality through language’ during a tumultuous tenure. As she writes in her book, the former president ‘changed some of the deepest expectations about presidential language, not just when it comes to style, but also the relationship between words and reality.’ “Now officials in Biden’s administration are using Trump’s own tactics to adjust reality again, this time by erasing the words his predecessor used and by explicitly returning to ones […]

Democrats should be careful what they ask for … they just might get it, good and hard

Wall Street Journal columnist Joel Zinberg today reminds us that in 2020 the Biden campaign in general and Kamala Harris specifically “maligned President Trump’s claims about the speed of vaccine development and questioned its safety and effectiveness. New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo cast doubt on FDA evaluations of Covid-19 vaccines and said states should conduct their own reviews. An Aug. 27 letter from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention asking governors for help setting up vaccine distribution elicited a statement from Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer questioning the safety of the vaccines in development. Media ‘fact checkers’ said rapid […]

Idaho Lawmakers Gas Tax Hike This Year

Idaho Lawmakers Gas Tax Hike This Year By Wayne Hoffman It’s hard to believe this, but several lawmakers have confirmed for me that there’s a plan to raise gas taxes on Idahoans during this legislative session. The word is that the proposal is to raise the tax by as much as 10 percent on the state’s already-high assessment of 32 cents per gallon. The good news though, is that raising gas taxes has never been particularly popular at the Legislature. An effort to raise fuel taxes in 2009 failed so spectacularly, it took another six years for lawmakers or the […]

Mask Burning Rally #FreeIdaho

Mask Burning Rally #FreeIdaho On Saturday, March 6, I invite Idahoans to take part in our version of the Boston Tea Party. After nearly a year of living under conditions in which rights have been suspended, state and national constitutions trampled on, bureaucrats, politicians, and self-styled “experts” deciding who is “essential” and who is not, March 6 is the day we put an end to it all. March 6 will be a statewide mask burning event. This Mask Burn Party will be a celebration of our Independence from dictatorial rule and a return to self-governance. We the people will mark […]

Turning Gun Owners Into Felons

Turning Gun Owners Into Felons by Oregon Firearms Federation The Democrats passed SB 554, the “go to the library go to prison” bill, out of committee on a party line vote. The bill was amended with the “dash 10” amendment That amendment removes parking garages from the places where a CHL holder can be arrested for having a lawfully carried firearm. It changes the language in the bill, so while in the original bill you could be charged with a felony just by being near an airport, now you would have to go into the terminal to face felony charges. March 9: A $298 Million SCHOOL TAX Election Day

March 9: A $298 Million SCHOOL TAX Election Day By Kevin Richert, IdahoEdNews.org Voters in more than a third of Idaho’s school districts have decisions on March 9: Do they want to approve or renew bond issues or property tax levies for schools? All told, 45 of Idaho’s 115 school districts will run ballot measures totaling more than $298.2 million. (One year ago, when the March election coincided with presidential primaries, 41 districts sought $174 million in levies.) So while the March 9 elections are no record-setter — in March 2017, voters decided on a whopping $715 million in bonds […]

Where Is The Legislative News?

Where Is The Legislative News? Sage Dixon’s recent “Notes from Boise” has left me even more puzzled than I was after his first published piece in January. On Feb 21 the Daily Bee ran Sage’s, “There Is Beauty In Public Service,” which was submitted by the District 1B state Rep during this legislative session. Again, he presented “zero” policy initiatives, and it appeared to be another waste of time and your paper’s column inches. In consideration of limited editorial space, I find the representative’s ramblings irrelevant, and outside the intended purpose of the “semester series.” And I don’t recall signing […]

Democrats Accept 2 of 286 Amendments Sought by Republicans for $1.9 Trillion COVID-19 Stimulus Bill

Republicans have criticized Democrats for continuing to push their pandemic stimulus package while accepting little to no Republican input. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Wednesday out of 286 amendments proposed by Republicans for the $1.9 trillion spending package, only two were accepted. “Republicans offered 286 amendments to President Biden’s massive $1.9 TRILLION spending blowout. Democrats accepted 2 of them. So much for Biden’s calls for ‘unity,’” McCarthy said in a statement. On Feb. 19, Democrats unveiled the full text of a 591-page bill (pdf) titled the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.” House Republicans held a press conference […]

Judge Blocks Enforcement of Biden’s Moratorium on Most Deportations

President Joe Biden’s administration cannot enforce a pause on most deportations until further notice, a federal judge ruled late Tuesday. U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, a Trump appointee, agreed to issue a preliminary injunction that was requested by the state of Texas. Acting Homeland Security Secretary David Pekoske directed in a memorandum on Jan. 20 “an immediate pause on removals of any noncitizen with a final order of removal … for 100 days.” Texas officials sued, alleging the pause violated an agreement between the state and the federal government reached during the Trump administration, and that the Department of Homeland […]

Exclusive: Former ICE Chief Says Immigration Law Becoming Meaningless

The former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says the new administration’s steps to narrow the criteria for immigration enforcement are “just ridiculous.” “It’s almost like it’s not illegal to be illegally in the United States anymore,” Tom Homan told The Epoch Times on Feb. 18. Homan retired during the Trump administration, after directing the agency responsible for interior immigration enforcement and deportations as well as investigations into human trafficking and cross-border crime. He’s concerned the Biden administration is rendering immigration law meaningless. Trump Is Back in the ‘Political Arena,’ Says Sebastian Gorka

Former President Donald Trump is “back in the political arena” after going silent following Jan. 20, said his former political adviser, Sebastian Gorka. In an interview with Sky News, Gorka remarked that following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, he believed Trump would disappear for months. “This man has to disappear for a while … before he can get back in politics,” Gorka said. “But that all changed” when he was impeached in the House for allegedly inciting violence on Jan. 6, he added. The impeachment, Gorka asserted, allowed Trump to move “back into the political arena” sooner. He cited the […]
